It’s been quite some days lately, lots of cake, lots of people, lots of fun, and at least one tired Eivind. But it’s absolutely worth it!
This weekend we were up at Ble Fjellstue, celebrating the 80th birthday of Helgas grandmother. All her grandmothers descendants were there, counting up to 20-22 people. We did the same thing for my grandfather last weekend (he also just turned 80, strangely), and then we counted a total of 7 descendants. I guess there are different family cultures in different families – and some families are bigger than others. I’m partly freaked out by that big family parties, I’m used to one conversation around the table that’s easy to follow, but here it’s at least five, and they’re mostly about people I don’t know who are. But it’s still nice, though, they’re all great.
Anyways, my busy days aren’t over quite yet. Tomorrow I’m leaving for Juventes strategy conference in Kirkevik. Staying there ’til Wednesday, when I’m leaving with Helga for Kristiansand. Staying there until Sunday, just taking time of, and on Monday the autumn is undeniably here..
Wellwell. Pictures from the weekends party is, as always, on flickr.
Here are some of my personal favorites from the weekend (in addition to the one at the top):
